The Adventures of Anna... At the Aquarium by D. L. Bentley

In this kids picture book, the
series continues the educational adventures of Anna, her friend Susan and her
parents going to the Aquarium.  The book's
format remains the same with more beautiful, engaging and appealing pictures
intermingled with the text in a very non-traditional and intriguing format that
immediately catches the reader's attention.

I received this book as a read and review gift. It's available for $0.99 on Amazon.

I reviewed it at 4 of 5 stars
The Adventures of Anna At the Aquarium is a really good children's book. Like in the first book it's very educational and the picture association helps little kids to learn what certain things are and how to lock an image to an item or word. I really enjoy the fact that the author doesn't go through the whole location and bog down the book with detail and information. Again, the dialogue was a bit dragging and repetitive in spots but it's easy to overlook when you get to learn about sea life.

The Adventures of Anna ... At The Zoo by D. L. Bentley

The Anna series is an educational adventure series of books for toddlers that first takes Anna and her parents on a trip to the Zoo. The books are informative and interesting books for kids but that parents will enjoy as well. There are many beautiful, engaging and appealing pictures intermingled with the text in a very non-traditional and intriguing format that immediately catches the reader’s attention.

The story is further highlighted with exciting, little-known facts about animals that you would not necessarily learn at a real trip to the zoo. For instance, the word giraffe means camel plus leopard (a big tall camel with spots), that camels eat fish, and that zebra’s stripes are like fingerprints (none are alike).

I received this book as a read and review. You can find it on Amazon for $0.99.

I reviewed it at 4 of 5 stars
I really enjoyed this book. The educational value is very appreciated for children. Picture association increases the educational value for younger kids and adds a bit of fun to the book. My only issue with this book is that the dialogue drags on a bit. But it leaves a personal touch that identifies with children.

The Trouble with Toads by Danyelle Leafty

Once upon a time a young girl wanted revenge. But first, she wanted to be beautiful.

Twelve-year-old Bettony has read enough stories that begin with once upon a time to know what happens to the ugly stepsisters at the end, and she’s determined to escape that fate by any means necessary—even by magic.

Unfortunately, when it comes to magic, there is no place for regret, refunds, or exchanges. Even if you accidentally turn your older sister into a toad.

If Bettony wants her happily ever after to end well, she’s going to have to find a way to turn her sister back into a person before their mother finds out she’s been dabbling with magic and grounds her for life. And if she wants to do that, she’s going to need more magic.

Tracking down the family magic turns out to be surprisingly easy. Now, if only it came with instructions . . .

I received this book as a read and review. It's available on Amazon for $0.99.

I love when an author comes up with a fairy tail and adds in a few twists and turns from classics. This book is a bit slow to begin with  but once it gets going, it's really cute. The behavior between the sisters really grabs a reader and makes then think of the relationship they have with their own siblings. This book is full of magic and life lessons that the sisters, and in essence the reader, learn as the book carries on.

The Right Wrong Number is a cute short story. I know plenty of people wish they could end up with the same result when they call the wrong number. I know I would, usually I just get yelled at! I like the idea and the plot I just wish there was more to it. But the story is a fun read and kind of makes me think of the people I accidentally call and what could have happened.
Cute read

Rowena Through the Wall:Expanded Edition (Land's End-Book#1) by Melodie Campbell

Book 1 in Land's End series

"Is that a broadsword on your belt, or are you just glad to see me?"

When Rowena falls through her classroom wall and lands in an alternate world, she doesn’t count on being kidnapped―not once, but twice―and the stakes get higher as the men get hotter.

College instructor Rowena Revel has a magical gift with animals and a huge problem. Gorgeous tunic-clad men keep walking through the wall of her classroom. If that isn't enough, she's being haunted by sexy dreams in a rugged land. Curious, she checks out the wall and falls through a portal into the world of her dreams.

After years of war, women are scarce. Rowena finds herself in a heap of man-trouble when she 'accidentally' marries distant cousin Ivan. Enter Cedric, who dabbles in black magic and has an even blacker heart. Throw in a Viking, the local wolf-king, a band of brigands and a goth-clad student who follows her through the portal, and Rowena is off on a rollicking adventure.

Unwanted husbands keep piling up, but that doesn't stop her from falling for the wrong brother. Not only that, she has eighteen year old Kendra to look out for and a war to prevent. Good thing she has the ability to go back through the wall. Or does she?

NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR: This special expanded edition features an all-new ending based on a sequel I had planned. Due to the overwhelming response from readers who were too excited to wait, here's the entire story, including the thrilling conclusion to Rowena's journey.

I found it as a Free Run on Amazon and its now available for $2.99.

Through the Wall is a funny and erotic story. I enjoy his reluctance at jumping into anything with her and the fact that he wants her to really think about it. It's a modern twist that the pursuer is the female this time. The story was well written and an enjoyable read. My only real critique it that the story feels like it should be longer, almost like it needs a few more pages to really tie it all together.
Great Read

I really enjoyed this read. Hades is an adorable Hell Hound and is a complete ham. Getting glimpses of Hannah's friends and a bit of their story makes the reader intrigued enough to be interested in purchasing the other books in the series to find out the whole story. Aidan is so sweet and your heart breaks for him. Diel's description is very sexy and I can picture a hot demon in my mind when it's his part. I really enjoyed the Hannah/Diel interaction and relationship. My only critique is the story is too short.

Good reading

It's a very sweet book. I really enjoyed the instant events in the start of the book and then the build up and development of the relationship later on. Sarah the baby is SO precious and a little daredevil! Her biting to learn thing she does reminds me of my nephew. EVERYTHING goes into his mouth. I love the roller coaster the romance goes through, it makes it more relate-able to the reader and it makes you stop and think of relationships you or your friends have gone through. Great book.

I love books about proving you're more than your appearance and statistics. AJ is a sassy tomboy with a don't mess with me attitude. Kane is a bad boy with a big reputation. The chemistry between them sizzles almost from the start! The action and events in this book draws you in and keeps you wanting to see what happens next. The attention to details is obvious as you read when you learn information about Egypt as well as the research you'd need to know for some of the items or events used. I loved this book!

On Thin Ice (The Men of T-FLAC: The Wrights, Book 6) by Cherry Adair

With Kiss and Tell, Cherry Adair wowed readers and set their pulses racing. The breathless, adventure-filled books that followed transformed Adair into one of romantic suspense’s brightest stars. No,w in her long-awaited hardcover debut, the award-winning author thrills us with a wild ride through the frozen north, where there are dangers greater than the bitter cold–and passions hot enough to melt ice.
Lily Munroe thought she had married an honest, dependable man, but she was painfully mistaken. It didn’t take long for her once-loving husband to become a secretive stranger–mixing with shady people and even shadier dealings. Although Lily nursed him through a sudden terminal illness, her marriage was over long before he passed away. During that difficult time, only her passion for the exhilarating Iditarod race across Alaska gave her something to look forward to–and she channeled her emotions into training dogs for the grueling event. Now single again, she’s more determined than ever to win the race, awaken her sense of self, and leave her past behind.

In the competition, the person to beat is two-time winner Derek Wright, a man Lily dubs Mr. Wrong. Extremely sexy and devilishly charming, Derek is the consummate playboy. Or is he? Although Lily can’t deny her intense attraction, she believes he is dangerous to her scarred heart. Little does she know that Derek is an elite antiterrorism agent–or how desperately she’ll need to depend on his skills to keep her alive once the race is under way.

Great book. I love the detail in this book. It's a great pace and keeps your attention all the way through. I love the dogs! Dingbat is precious! I love that Cherry Adair keeps with the idea of dog sledding and pulls it into the action and events throughout the book. Derrick is SO sexy and I love his personality and determination to get what or who he wants. I really loved the end but I won't be giving any spoilers in this review...
I will say that I love that Cherry made the effort to understand twins as Derrick in On Thin Ice and Kane in Out of Sight are twin brothers. They compliment each other but aren't exact copies of each other personality wise and as a twin myself I love it!

My Reviews

I read books and I post honest reviews. I don't try to sugar coat anything but I won't be nasty either. I have started read and reviews for authors. They can send me a book and I'll review it. My reviews are posted on here, Goodreads and Amazon. If there is another site they use it will go there too.
I post where I found it, the price then and now as well as the stars and my review. I post a link for interested readers and the date I reviewed.
This is my only warning, I read a wide variety of genres, from children's to Young adult. And from Fantasy to Erotica and M/M

The Mating Call by Marie Stephens

I did a read and review for this author. She's a very nice lady to talk to. Her book is available on Smashword for $3.99

I reviewed it at 2 of 5 stars
The information given for The Mating Call sounds great! I was looking forward to reading it since I love paranormal and especially Werewolves. I was disappointed for the most part with the book.
There were several grammar and spelling errors that should have been caught in the editing phase. They tended to be distracting, especially when the book was speaking of Lucian and would say her instead of he or him.
In my opinion Samantha raged and yelled too much in the beginning when normally questions would be asked.
It's a bit hard to read in some spots because of the sections being bogged down with too much detail or detail placed in odd spots. I love knowing what characters look like but it can be broken up into multiple spots. Also, usually you describe people when they are looking at each other not after one leaves the room. There also happens to be a lot of spots that repeat the same thing over and over in a small area.
The pace is a bit rushed, I understand novellas are small and you need to get from point a to point b but more filler would help spread out the plot and made for an easier read.
It does get better as you read at about the middle but it gets really hurried at the end. More could have happened or something could have been expanded on such as her gift with dreams which is only mentioned in passing.
The plot has great potential and the story would be great if it was expressed better.
